Nucleic Acids
A nucleic acid is a polymer of repeating units of nucleotides. A nucleotide is the monomer of nucleic acids. Two exmaples of nucleic acids are DNA and RNA.
DNA
The shape of DNA is a double-helix. DNA is found within the nucleus of a cell. DNA looks like and is composed of the parts in the picture shown below.
RNA
RNA has the same shape as DNA and more. RNA is found in the cytoplasm all throughout the cell. RNA looks like and is composed of the parts in the picture shown below.
